So I just found a listing for an Aion 5.3 server that is using OFFICIAL RETAIL files (not emulator). I decided to set up my client and try it and it is legit.. Not much of an English community at all, nor does it seem super populated yet, but this is the real deal.

For the first time ever, an Aion server exists with no bugs and is 100% retail-like in function, but with slightly increased rates (x2 to x3) among other things.

They have an English website, English options with the launcher and an English sub-section of their forums. If you're looking for an alternative to retail but with increased Pserver rates and a smaller community, this may be your go-to server. It seems relatively new and is the first of its kind in functionality.
